sooper 8 style

I realized in New Hampshire that Super 8 could benefit from a stylist. Or a style guide.

Who hangs "art" 6 inches from the ceiling? Who picks the blue vomit collage bedspread, and says "yes - that will look nice"?

Then again, as I look at the other guests enjoying free continental breakfast, maybe nobody cares. Plaid dude, in search of style, one Super 8 at a time.

What is hiding behind the art that necessitated the high spot? Only the shadow (and the night maintenance guy) knows.

From "The Hotelier's Guide to Style and Decoration - 2006 Edition."

Paintings, drawings and other framed works of art should hang no more than 6" from the ceiling. This is to reduce incidences of theft by guests. For extra caution, it is always a good idea to bolt the art to the wall. These suggestions do not apply to seascapes.

Also - this:

To reduce the threat of bedcover theft, it is suggested that all bedpreads be of a pattern no person would be proud to display in their own bedroom.

JP - Best comment ever. I'm still laughing a day later.
