Missed the important people at Gibson

When we first started talking about the concept of the tour, for whatever reason, we kept talking about Gibson.
"Wouldn't it be great if we just roll up in our Plaid van, and get our Plaid on..." And since Gibson's a brand that we love, even though we had no appointment, no name of a person to meet, we decided to roll up in a Plaid van.
And now, reality. We rolled into Gibson today. Building number 1. We met their awesomely sweet receptionist. Who did her best to get us connected to someone. Anyone. Brand Managers out of town. Marketing people not around. And then she finds someone. The perfect marketing person who would appreciate our Plaidness. And so she sends us onto another building, with the person's direct number. We call on the way, and get voice mail.
We arrive at building #641 (pictured at left), and can't find him. Security calls him, and gets voice mail. Security dude even tries marketing dude's cell phone. Gibson marketing dude cannot be found.
And so, we move on. (To Memphis!!) That's the reality of "cold calling" on the road.
We've had some amazing success stories, and a couple of "Gibsons." But all is not lost. We still have loads of ideas to share, and marketing dude's name and number. He'll get our care package, and we'll do our best to get some Plaid on Gibson.
